Dwight D. Hood, M.D.
Family Practice Physician
Dr. Dwight D. Hood received his medical degree from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in family medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Austin College in Sherman, Texas.
Dr. Hood had been in private practice for 3 years before coming to West Wind Primary Health Center. Prior to going into private practice, Dr. Hood served as the physician at Chatman Community Health Center.
He has served on the faculties of South Plains College and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Hood is a member of the American Association of Family Practitioners, Texas Medical Association, and New Mexico Medical Society.
Dr. Hood has two sons. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church and enjoys bicycling in his spare time.
