Amy Sikes, M.D., a Lubbock native, is a Family Practitioner with UMC Physicians and also works in UMC’s Emergency Center. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. Dr. Sikes earned her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine (TTUHSC) in 2012 where she also served her residency in the Department of Family and Community Medicine in 2015. In her final year of residency at TTUHSC, she served as Chief Resident and House Staff Resident Dr. Sikes is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Prior to her career as a physician, Dr. Sikes was a Science Educator, teaching on two LISD campuses, at Southcrest Christian School and Wilson ISD. She is actively involved in the Lubbock community as a volunteer for several organizations including Lubbock Area Foundation, Lubbock Symphony Guild and Junior League of Lubbock.
Dr. Sikes and her husband have two daughters. They attend First Baptist Church. When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching her daughters play competitive tennis, traveling, and volunteering.
