Marissa R. Yates, M.D., is a native of El Paso, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2001. She attended medical school at TTUHSC School of Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the TTUHSC Department of Family Medicine in Lubbock.
She is a member of American Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Yates stated, “As a family physician I have the privilege of being able to care for members of this community of all ages and from all walks of life. Whether they are coming in for an acute or chronic illness or for a well visit, I feel that my role is to help patients and their families live healthier lives by providing the highest quality, comprehensive care and by offering health education with an emphasis on disease prevention.”
Dr. Yates welcomes new patients including Medicare patients. Dr. Yates’ office is located at LakeRidge Medical Center. Her associates at LakeRidge are fellow family practitioners, Mario Pena, MD and David R. Long, MD.
While appointments are encouraged, LakeRidge providers also see patients on a walk-in basis. The clinic hours are Mondays through Fridays, 8am-8pm; Saturdays from 9am-6pm, and Sundays, 1-5pm.
